Pre Exam Lunch - 16th Apr

Foursome went fer PHOTOSHOOT!
Hahaha..
And Regina had put something in my hands! *Secret!*

This place is actually located at the lobby of School of Computing, NUS!

Went fer pre-exam lunch at Scholar's Restaurant, NUS Alumni House with compliments from Regina who had free dining credits when she joined NUS Alumni.

This was at the new Shaw Foundation Alunmni House at NUS.
The interior's blearh, but the landscaping's ok.

Next they toured Archi, cause Candice hadn't been to my faculty before!

And here's a combination of NUS, Archi and starbucks at Marina at the later part of the day! The sculptures represent the different NUS faculties.

Boy o boy

I had this post written long ago..
How did it all began? I fergot.. (was it inspired by Regina?)

*Ahem.* C-R-U-S-H-E-S.
They (I only had 3) WERE more like eye candies to me and to talk about them, I'd have to trace it back all the way to the early 1990s, when my Eye-Candy Radar System first detected a signal!

Lil' Emily was about 6, when her Eye-Candy Radar System scanned and singled out a lil' boy named A**** in a class of 20!
He was her Kindergarten-2 classmate and her very first crush.....

As badly as Lil' Emily wanted to befriend him, she couldn't bring herself to do so.
Lil' Emily was just way tooo shy!

Back then, she could count the number of guy friends she had with a hand.
One of the only guy friends Lil' Emily had in class was this super soft-spoken boy who sat next to her.
Bo bian (no choice) right? She had to talk to him..
He appeared to be so fragile (always had a demin jacket on in case he catches a cold) on the overall that Lil' Emily thought he really looked like a wuss.
Tsk tsk tsk. (wonder where and how he is now)

Ok, lets return to the main character..
One fine day, Lil' Emily's dad got her a set of 40 Crayola crayons from Toys R' Us, packaged in a 3 tiered yellow plastic case.
I think she must have told her dad the crayons in school sucked and wanted a set of crayons exclusively fer herself.
The last she remembered of them, most were broken into pieces.
Yes, as a kid, she was rather spoilt, she'd got whatever toys she wanted.

Anyway, Lil' Emily decided to bring it the entire set to school the very next day just fer ONE PURPOSE.
TO SHOW OFF TO 'A'!

During break time, (Butter sandwiches with hot milo! her favourite! =))
Lil' Emily ordered the quiet boy to bring 'A' over to her table to check out her crayons!
She strictly instructed him to only ask 'A' over after she had left for the Play Corner.

What the heck was Lil' Emily thinking right?!
LOL. I don't know why too!!!!

'So did 'A' see my crayons already?'
'Ya.'

'What did he say?'

'Nice.'

Boy, Lil' Emily was so dissappooointed.
She wanted to hear more than just a 'NICE'

So that was it and Lil' Emily didn't want to try and befriend 'A' again.
Or did she ever?! Hahaha
Nor did she bring the crayons to school again. (what a waste!)

Well, years later, Lil' Emily chanced upon 'A' and his brother at Bedok's A&W?, sans the 'crush' fwweeeling this time.

Hmm.. I guess, I'd only talk about the first one. 2nd was in Upper Pri (in art class) and the 3rd was in JC!

The only Eye-Candy whom I ever talked to was the JC guy. Even caught a movie with him but sat a seat away from him! (with a bunch of friends la) Hahahaha.. I readily offered him my water bottle when he was thirsty during the show but I doubt he remembers my name now! Bleah. And that was the end of it.

NONE of them were my friends cause I can't imagine falling in love with long-time friends! Like incest?! Haha, THAT's ME cause they'd be more like 'brotherly' friends already la.

Happy Easter! - 12th Apr

Received a pleasant surprise from darling!

In the midst of rushing out my model, I gave church service a miss and totally fergot it was Easter Sunday!

It was only until Alvin came over after service (to pass me this) did I realise that that Sunday was no ordinary Sunday! Heh.

I could only exclaim 'O wow! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I TOTALLY FERGOT! I haven't got an Easter present fer you, sorry..'

*paused*

then.. 'Hey, a bling bling is missing!'
A bling bling had came off.

LOL

P.S. By the way, the background's my new lush 430 thread count maroon (photo enhanced to red) comforter since tis' CNY!

Tata leopard print!
Been burying myself in its softness every night till I had difficulty getting out of bed in the morning!

Korean BBQ - Birthday Dinner 5th Mar

Foursome celebrated my 23rd birthday at Su Korean BBQ!

I found the place online..It was good!

The only minus point was having to shield my delicate face from the sputtering oil whilst barbequing my food. Haha
This never happened at any other self-BBQ restaurents I've been too!
The heat might have been too intense?

After a hearty dinner with seafood and meat combo, dolsop bibimbap and bu-dae jigae(my fav type of jigae!), a stroll after dinner along Clarke Quay was a must!

I'd love to have Korean BBQ again and I'd be heading to Seoul on the 29th May fer the authentic one!!
Wheee!

Papa and Emily's Birthday! 3rd March

My belated birthday post!

Did dinner with my family, Alvin and Felix at Pearl River Restaurant..

Chinese Buffet, with a one time order of Peking Duck (Yummy!), Buddha Jump over the Wall (this dish was so named cause Buddha smelled the aroma of this highly exquisite soup while walking and was so eager to taste it that he jumped over the wall despite being a vegetarian! LOLOLOL) , and live prawns.

We stopped at 12 dishes.
But the manager came over, checked and list and commented, ‘Bu zhi de!’ (not value for money!) and ordered 2 more dishes fer us.

That makes 14!
We couldn’t take it anymore.
There was still a huge durian cake waiting fer us to devour back home!

Monkeying around after dinner while I went to the ladies(!)

HAH, I like my new shirt from Desigual. Say ‘Beethoven’ in Chinese?! HEH!
Someone once told me about a Beethoven joke during dinner that caused me to laughed non-stop and almost got choked!

In our few days old 7-seater car (before and after dinner)

Back home!
Alvin got papa and I my favourite cake!

Think I had seafood overload (4 types of prawns, 2 fish, abalone, sharksfin..).. I broke out in weird rash!
It started out with 9 mosquito bite swells and it soon spread into masses.
At first I thought nothing of it and thought there were mosquitoes in the restaurant.
Thank God it subsided a few hours after applying calamine lotion.
I didn't photoshop the photos.. So you can see the slight bumps on my left arm!

Darling and I!

Sisters and I!

Family and I!

My present from Alvin in a nice crisp and gold wrapper..

Hidden beneath was a Sandwich Maker which I’ve yet to use!
I wanted one long ago after eating the chilled peanut butter sandwich in Korea!
Whenever I bite into the sealed and chilled sandwich

Puke on Train - 28th Feb

THIS IS A FOLLOW UP RIGHT AFTER THE SOUTHERN RIDGES HIKE!
ON the way back home on the MRT...
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

A boy about age 9 puked on the train.
I felt it as soon as it happened.

FELT, because 2 invisible drops landed near my ankle.
Eeewargh. (headed straight fer the ladies after I got off the train)
I was standing quite a distance away but still..

But this was not the reason that made me blog..
It was because almost immediately, there was a rush of Samaritans extending their help.

A guy gave one of his NTUC plastic bags, an auntie gave one of her handkerchief fer the mom to clean up the mess, another offered the boy water, an uncle patted the boy’s back to soothe him, and the list goes on.

Me? I offered my entire packet of tissue.

At this poignant moment, I felt the warmth of Singaporeans.
A Singapore’s National Day song resounded in my head..
'This is home, surely..'
Corny, c'mon.. but really!

Southern Ridges - 28th Feb

The last Saturday of the mid-term break was spent hiking at Southern Ridges.

Had a hearty Macs breakfast at Harbourfront mall before setiing off..

Didn’t know the Marang Trail was just a stone throw away!

Of all the trails along Southern Ridges, Marang Trail was the ‘toughest’ to walk.
(Toughest with the apostrophes because it was nothing compared to what I had climbed at Halla Mountain!)

Still, Amanda became all white and pale midway up! (see cover photo)

Till today, there was still no explanation fer it.
Regina said ‘we still couldn’t find a reason! She was walking slower than me.. Was the one running up but I didn’t feel anything.. haha.. Suddenly I turned around she was on the steps already.. I (am) shocked.’The Emborghini News.

Some along the way scenes..

Reached Mt Faber and there were 2 stationery cable cars, purrfect fer kodak moment!

Henderson W~A~V~E!
Did a waveeeeeee video and attempted many jumps here. Hahaha..

At Canopy Walk doing a march down.
It just zigged zagged all the way through the canopy.
A lil' bit ridiculous, even though there's a short cut.

Finally! We reached our destination - HOrT(iculture) Park!

Regina trying to do an Amanda-hair-swirl.
Do you think she passed?

The sun was scorching hot by then. Thanks to my SPF 150 Sunblock, I was the only one who wasn't burnt! Alvin wasn't too actually and he has his dark hide to thank fer. HAHA.

Despite the searing heat, we still had fun playing a maze-ball game.
The best flowers were at the greenhouses.. Unfortunately, they were all locked up!

Till then Folks, it was lunch at Vivo with Candice and Lahiri after that!
Till Alvin and I edit the video too!

100th Post at L' Emborghini!

Well, I shall dedicate it to a lil' panda, who sneezed.
