Alvin and his Latest Gadget

Boy!
He actually chatted with me on MSN while using the toilet to do biiig business.

Had the cheek to send me an awful facial expression of him trying his best to make his business a success through Palringo on MSN too!

It's fun to be connected to everywhere on the go I guess. -.-

Plus, it's fun to flood his Reaction Time highscore board with my name.
230miliseconds.
The online highscore was 5miliseconds. Human?!
He must have had a cheatcode or I highly suspect it was a housefly with lightning quick reflexes.

And the latest thing I did-
I used an Ostrich photo (from our Birdpark collection)as someone's ID contact who almost never fails to call him daily.
Imagine the shock when an Ostrich suddenly pops out.

I shall assign more animal photos on the people I know on his phone soon..
Hurhurhur.

Post Note:
I now have an iPhone to play too! So does papa!

Buffet Dinner - 2nd Aug

"

Mummy treated us to celebrate her annual bonus dinner at Riverview Hotel!

I must say, this was one of the best buffet spread I've ever been.
Simply too many items to choose from and it's very international indeed. Hurhur.

However, the free flow of sashimi didn't seem to entice me anymore.
Which spells.. I've no more hot favourites.

The Lim's Family is expanding, in numbers.
Hahaha

Brownies & Originis, the ni nis..

The last of my hols..

I did what I enjoy most to maximize my precious time..

Baking late into the night when everyone’s already in lalaland.

Emily’s Masterpiece!

My first brownie without using Betty Crocker’s brownie mix!
I dare say it taste better than her’s.
Wahahahaha..

Kudos to the internet.
I found the 5 star rating recipe within 5mins.

My other masterpiece.
Origini!

Hahaha, filled the plate with love, with mushy Orginis.

I gave one to my mum and she was speechless.
(Or rather, she couldn’t open her mouth due to the extreme stickiness)

Was thinking of offering one to my grandpa.
On second thoughts, the picture of his spoilt dentures changed my mind.

So I gave the other 4 to the mister.
And ate the rest to my advantage, to exercise my jaws.

Needless to say, they're good fer naggy mums too!

Sheesh.

I swore I followed what Amanda and Regina told me to do.
'Cook the Japanese rice the same way as cooking Thai rice!'..

Anyways, they sure do look like masterpieces, don’t they?!

Archi Internship

Here’re the photos taken on the last week where I worked.
Ended on 25th Jul!

With my colleagues, mostly Filipinos and Malaysians.
Gave them a .gif Thank you honour roll (cropped here) done by Alvin.. Muah!

Plus my archi mates who sat at the same bay as I do.

Tiffany, Joe and Nicholas.

Someone’s messy table....
Tsk tsk tsk.

And her name tag!

Malaysia - KL Trip

This is HARD WORK!

Finally, our Kuala Lumpur Trip (from 25th Jul) video Clip is done!

The biggest credit goes to Alvin fer staying up the entire night to finish editing.

I merely chose the songs and gave some inputs.

The clip on youtube is of poorer quality, so fer better quality, look fer me!

Starring (in alphabetical order) Alvin, Amanda, Candice, Emily
,

Endru (Reg's cousin cum chauffeur) & Regina, this chronicles

our weekend trip to Kuala Lumpur and all the goofs,

spoofs and fun we've shared there!

Sit back and ENJOY!!

P.S. Retarded antics surface ONLY (and I repeat, ONLY) when we group together.

Proud MOMMY!!!

I'm a super proud mommy of

Porto and Rico's Puddlets!

31st of Jul' 08 marked their joyous arrival to this world or at Puddington Ville at least.

Five, the NUMBER OF GRACE, lil' cute pinkish Puddlets, the size of your pinky and length of about 3cm.

How shall they be named?!

Stay tuned!!

P.S. This is MY VIRGIN ATTEMPT at video production, albeit using some real lousy tools aka Windows Movie Maker. So do give comments!

Fret not, the Missus shall be up to standard with the latest and greatest video authoring software - ULead Video Studio Pro fer the PC. Thereafter, all my videos will kickass!

The Clubbing Parrot. A Joke.

A duck walks into a bar and asks, "Do you have any grapes?"

The bartender says, "No, I am sorry, we have cherries and olives but no grapes."
"Oh," says the duck and leaves.

10 minutes later the duck returns and asks the same bartender, "Do you have any grapes?"

"Like I said before, we have cherries and olives, but WE DON'T HAVE GRAPES!" says the bartender. "Oh," says the duck and leaves.

But 10 minutes later the duck returns and again asks, "Do you have any grapes?"

"Look, beak lips," screams the bartender. "WE HAVE NO GRAPES!, we will never have NO grapes! and if you ask me again, I am going to nail your webby little feet to the floor!!!"

"Oh," says the duck and leaves.

10 minutes later, the door swings open and the duck returns. The bartender is furious. He slams a bottle of beer down on the bar, stares menacingly at the duck and screams, "WHAT???!!"

"Uh...uh...do ...you ...have...any....NAILS?"

"Nails? Nails? No, we don't have nails," answers the bartender.

"Mmmm," says the duck. "So, do you have any grapes?"

Bird Park – 13th Jul

"
We organized at P.E.A. outing (Candice and Regina out of the league) to the Bird Park last Sunday!

Cover photo:
Male Ostrich plumage displaying such a regal pomp; it looked just like the cabaret girls, the friendly Australian Lories and a Green Winged Macaw taken on 13th Jul 08.

Can’t recall when was the last time I’d been to the Bird Park.
In my vaguest memory the Flamingo Lake stood out.

There were like hundreds of it crowding in an area which made it a very pretty sight.

Try placing X number of Flamingoes in The Sims game to get what I mean.
Then try asking your Sims to kick them as a sport.

We reached at 1.20pm and headed to the World of Darkness.

Guess which was the first feathered friend that greeted?!

I spotted ‘Harry Potter’s Hedwig!’

The Snowy Owls were staring intently at us!
They startled us next was a swift maneuver of turning their heads at 135°.

At the Pelican Cove, it was ‘Chit Chat with the Pelicans’ time!
I was particularly bemused by how the ALL 7 species of Pelicans stood still and strained their necks and head to follow their keeper each time he held up a fish and walked around.

Fer that, Pelicans are now in my Top 10 birds list.
They’re very entertaining indeed and I had to be dragged away fer our chit chat appointment with the Bee Eaters and Starlingssss!

They’re situated at the Waterfall Aviary, the world’s largest walk-in aviary and highest man-made waterfall.
It was terribly humid in there!

There, the Bird Keeper dumped heaps of mealworm everywhere and given the Starling’s voracious appetite, it was wiped out within a minute or two.

The Bee Eaters were M.I.A. and the Bird Keeper explanation was that it’s Sunday, ‘a rest day’ fer them and said only the Starlings were ‘frying around’.

I think I heard the ducks quaked.

Potluck Lunch Time!

Ornigiri from Amanda (made by her mum), Tuna and Ham Sandwiches by Candice, Chips by Regina, Drinks by Alvin and Egg Potato Mayo with Bacon Bits and Kebab by Me!

My first attempt making Quail egg, cherry tomato and cucumber ‘kebab’!
I even had the cucumber to resemble flowers!

Really Regina gave each of us wet tissues as souveniers.

Here's the Blue Gold Macaw at Parrot Paradise.

At Swan Lake.

Bird of the Prey show.
As a result of coming in a few minutes late, we’d to stand at the side of the amphitheatre under the scorching sun.

However, we were super blessed because the majestic birds appeared right next to us!

Their keepers were standing just next to me, with the Vultures and Eagles barely inches away from my face.

The Vultures were really huge and looked menacing.

An American Eagle, (I think) and us! See how close we were?! Haha..
If you ever visit, remember to stand at the top corners.

Sought relieve at the air-conditioned Penguin Expedition after the show.

Here, a particular Humboldt entertained us, trailing a lil’ boy, apparently fascinated by the Bird Park Brochure in his hand.

We popped by the Talking Birds fer awhile..
It’s more like exasperated Homo sapiens on exhibit talking to the clearly annoyed Mynahs and Parrots who kept their beaks shut in protest.

Magical birds sitting prettily like cherries on the tree.
The Red Ibises and the black ones whose names I fergot.

Royal Ramble, where the Crowned Pigeons were free to roam couldn’t match up with the Lories.

The fat blue pigeons weren’t as daring as the Lories who‘re intimate with us, humans. (That is if you have food)
I can’t imagine a fat Crowned Pigeon sitting on my shoulder too.

Proceeded to Lory Loft, the best attraction in the entire park!

Alvin got us a cup of nectar to feed our chirpy feathered friends.

Up-close with the Lories (o yes, they are certified Bird Flu Free) that one even perched onto Alvin and my shoulders.
At one time, there were 3 Lories perched on me and bird fight ensued.
Captivating lil’ things.

Was rather afraid their strong beaks and sharp claws might injure me at the beginning.
Their claws did poke into my fingers but it’s not sharp enough to cause bleeding.

Regina was so frightened that she let out a loud squeal and poured half of the nectar on the wooden deck. Boo.

The dazzling array of colours flying around you everywhere was truly a sight to behold.

A convocation of Eagles along the way.

One of the largest, Stellar’s Sea Eagle.
It looked so fake, it looked stuffed.

By then it was nearly 6pm, we did a quick checklist and to my horror, we missed out the Toucans and Hornbills!

Can’t miss the Toucans and Hornbills can we?
Their beaks are so unique and outstanding.

Hello there Mister Toco Toucan!

As we headed back to the exit, we passed by the African Wetlands Exhibit, our last stop fer the day.

This Shoebill here’s the ugliest bird I’ve seen thus far.
Haha. Ugly but cute.

The African Crown Crane was kind enough to pose with us at such near distance.

Went to the souvenir shop and got myself an Owl Pen for S$7.50.
How queer it is if I brought it along with me fer exams.
Haha, it would stare at the other examinees, startling them. *HOOT!*

I wanted the fountain pen-lookalike penguin pen badly too.
Guess, I’d save that fer another day when I ever come back fer a visit. Haha
Goodbye my Feathered Friends!

I hope to see Woodpeckers, Swallows, Sea Gulls, Nightingales and a Christmas Wonderland Exhibit of Robins, Turkeys, Turtle Doves and a Partridge in a Pear Tree by the next time I visit!

Cuckoo!

Regina’s commencement

Regina had graduated with Bachelors of Arts degree as of 9th Jul!

The first ever commencement that I’ve attended.
Took a day's leave for that and thought I could laze in bed more, but I actually had to get up even earlier!

Alvin and I sat at the lounge watching Regina receive her scroll from the live-cast.

At least we could talk and eat. If not I'd have really slept.
Inside, Regina’s dad said he was sleeping until it was nearing his daughter’s turn. Haha.

That must be one of the proudest moments in his life.

What is a graduation without throwing of mortar boards in the air?

NUS Lion from Amanda, Candice and I!

There's this cute lil’ porcupine was a gift from Regina’s Thai tutor.

At UCC spiral staircase.

Her dad invited all of us fer Buffet next at Copthorne King’s hotel's Penang Buffet.

After which we wanted to go KTV but there were only 3 of us and we told the cab driver to head East till we finally settled on playing mahjong at my house before ending the evening at Popeye's.

Did I mention I had another mahjong set!
Ah Kong's tenant left it behind and he brought it back fer me.
Shockness.

That's 4 sets in my house now. Hahaha.

Post Note:
I actually wrote this in office:
So these were all based on my memory of events and photos taken.

I actually wanted to feature My blue butt's photos taken during our mahjong session cause..

KC’s PE shorts ain't on sale anymore!!!

KC's PE shorts will be ancient soon enough
I still own the marroon KCP shorts.
But yes, I can't fit into them.

I have 7 pairs or more of it I think. Hahaha, cause I have to buy extras whenever I fergot to bring to shorts school. Sucker.

They are the most comfortable home wear shorts very or and durable.
Hahaha.. Better than those FBIs.
