The Baby Shower! - 18th Oct

Well, they aren’t exactly babies anymore when we saw them!
Puddleteens to be exact!

The Puddlets are the new batch of babies born to Porto and Rico.

The Puddleteens!

What a prolific pair.
Judging on Rico’s hefty size, Porto doesn’t mind all that weight on her.
Or maybe, she’s no choice cause she’s pinned flat.

See what I meant by saying Rico’s a fatass.

Before placing Rico into the new cage, I told Regina he might sleep in the food tub.
And sure enough!
This photo has got to be the cutest of all as it speaks VOLUMES.

This happy occasion also officiated the christening of the 2 girls.*
Milo and Oreo!

Milo’s Regina favourite.
Milo has got the largest eyes in the puny body of hers.

Oreo?
She’s the queenpin of the lot.
She bullied her brother till he had a small wound when they were introduced again.
(Regina separated them a few days earlier)

*The other pair was going to be sold on the following Tuesday and another boy sold a week ago.

Bath time after we had our lunch.
Thanks Regina fer the treat!

That’s really a lot of drumlets.
I gasped aloud when I opened the box.
My largest order was 9. This was a x2.

Dismantling and washing their cage.
The girls' cage was so complicated, with many tubes twisting about.

Had a tough time trying to come up with a solution to use the least amount of tubes, but nevertheless, we succeeded!
With the minimum tubings, Milo and Oreo had to do acrobatic acts to do a cross over.
Just as well.. exercise more and don’t be like their dad.

Candice feeding Porto mealworms..
Though the mealworms were already dried dead, I still get squeamish.

After we’re done with them, it’s Cinderella Time!
Haha, Candice had to give her pair of shoes away cause she can’t fit into them.

!Purrfect fit fer me.
Hurhur, it was really a Cindy Cinderella moment.

Alright, till then!

Hamster Treats

Putting up online ads selling hamsters exposed Regina and I to meet people of all sorts.

What we expected was a fuss free buy, take and leave scenario.
Just like what I did when I bought Porto & Bello. ‘Are there anymore available hamsters?’, ‘How old?’ and ‘Where to meet.’

I had never expected my additional ad line of responsible owners only would garner long pages of SMSes, and the crème de la crème, a 300 word essay describing her passion fer hamsters! No kidding!

One even asked me to join a hamster club.

More notably, Regina corresponded with an ah-lian and a dad whose lil' daughter has 16 hamsters and still wants more ..
I liased with a gay?(most likely), a woman with 30+hamsters and the list goes on.

A young girl even e-mailed me with much enthusiast, ‘hihi!!!!’ to buy her hamster and would even throw in a discount if I were to go to her place because her mom forbids her to travel.
Stunned. I'm selling, not buying. I've yet to respond. Heh.

Haha, I must say we’re both really tickled by the variety of responses we'd got.
Nothing of such sort happened when I sold other stuff online.
The number of extreme passionate hamsters lovers in Singapore overwhelmed us.

Regina had since set up an e-mail: puddingtonville@gmail.com

We already have a lineup of potential buyers reserving for future puddlets as we’re currently out of stock!

To offset hamster related expenses, I may even set up a website selling the later litter to come during the holidays!

That’d be Christmas Special =)

Baby shower - Presale Announcement

Zomg..

Regina, the puddlets' godma is going to throw a BBQ baby shower fer them on their 1st month!
Can't believe it.. Hahaha!

Another 'excuse' fer meeting up anyway!
Haven't seen the rest fer months..

After the party, we'd sell one fluffy yellow white pudding hamster..
The rest are fer our keeps cause they're simply too cute to be true!

Market rate fer a pudding is $30-$40!
But it definitely be well below cause we're selling it online..haha

Any buyers before I post on forums?!
Regina would be posting their photos soon!

Tonight with Really Regina - Delicious Puddlets!

After a long hiatus, here's a new entry by Missssssss Really Regina!!!

Porto and Rico's offpsprings have survived the crucial 14th day!

Most websites revealed that mother hamsters will not cannibalize their babies once they survive the crucial period, which is usually 2 weeks.

This is what happens, all the time, when I try to take a picture of the babies.
Scenario 1: The babies will start hiding undeaneath their bedding warmed by Porto.
Scenario 2: Porto appears suddenly and gives me the "whatdouwant2do2mybabies-backoff!" look.
Hence, the miserable number of photos in this entry.

They have been growing at an incredible rate and have opened their eyes on the 12th day.
2 beige ones succeeded climbing the big tube to 2nd level on the 12th day, which Emily claimed unbelievable.

..and also grow in different shapes and sizes.
One of the black one is growing real fat like a ball (photo not attached)

Due to Rico's weight increasing exponentially....

.... this is what happens to him every other day - morning exercise for 30 minutes or so! Before I set off to work.

On a side note, Emily and I have been trying to think of names for the newborns - and must end with an "O".
So far, we've got Oreo, Milo, Kopi-O and Teh-O, which fits perfectly with Oreo and Kopi-O for the 2 black ones, the Teh O for a beige.
Thought of any others?Throw in some names please.

Yours Sincerely,

Really
Regina

Emily's thoughts: I was thinking of putting the name 'Bello' back! haha, so left one more name..

Spring September

Tis' season, they are blooming everywhere!!!

From my porch to the park.

And my guppies are teeming with life!

It's  Spring in September!

National Day 2008 - 9th Aug

Haha, this was like a month ago!

Alvin had successfully balloted fer the actual NDP tickets and so here we were at the Esplande waterfront celebrating Singapore's 43rd Birthday!

It seemed like I've been to all the venues..
From the former national stadium, to the Padang and now this.

Tattooooo-ed my arms and face and posed with my prop, a bigalloo biiig hand with the Singapore Flyer as the backdrop.

My 'da-pau' (takeaway) fried rice dinner from Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao.
I over-ordered during lunch. Hurhurhur.

O yes it drizzled.. Neh nek

The parade finally kick-started and I grabbed the chance to take advantage of Papa's new 10x zoom camera!
Took close shots of Mr President plus the Black Knights.

The smoky heart was just - SWEEEEETS.

The shows which everyone wasn't really interested till it was time fer the big colourful bangs in the sky to steal the limelight!

The parade wasn't as great as previous years.
It just lacked the oomph factor which I can't pinpoint what's it.

Besides, the opening of the Olympics took place the night before..
This just paled in comparison, or can it even be compared?

But as you can see we had fun taking loads of photos fer the night shots were excellent!!

Tonight with Really Regina - Porto Rico

Finally, Emborghini’s having a guest blogger! (Other than Hacker Lin)

*Drumrolls*

.
.
.

It’s Reeeeeeeeeeeeeally …… Regina!

*Applauds* (by fluttering our eyelids)

She’d be talking to us regarding issues faced in our multifaceted life..
On special weeks when she becomes our Aunt Agony, she’d be addressed as Obachan Ng.
So do write in to her to ask/tell her about anything and everything under the sun!

Without further ado, lets open our eyes wide, scroll down and welcome Reeeeeeally Regina!!!

Welcome to Tonight with Regina...

Emily's blog is running dead. With her interim crits.
So here I am, and let me present to you my god children!

Porto and Rico!

These lil' ones are deposited over at my house till Emily moves back from hostel in December.

My mom hit the roof she saw them, while my dad asked what kinda 'mouse' is that.

Duno-which bit my maid on Sunday morning, while she attempted to give them some food. I read up, hammies bite because of fear.

Till now, I've yet to gain their trust, hence, no pictures taken with them. :(

Bought this fan meant for babies - for the hammies.
To prevent heatstroke due to humid weather.

Thought that Porto was smart enough to climb up to level 2 and take a nap right smack infront of the fan.

I turned my back, about 20 minutes later, I came back to realize that they had switched places and Rico (because I saw his balls) was on level 2 enjoying the fan too! So both are smart and slept with their tummies up.

Update next, iif (if and only if) Porto gives birth this week (Emily suspects so)
We'll wait and see!

Godmother Regina showers Porto & Rico with love till Mother Emily brings them home.......

Yours Sincerely,
Really Regina

Alvin and his Latest Gadget

Boy!
He actually chatted with me on MSN while using the toilet to do biiig business.

Had the cheek to send me an awful facial expression of him trying his best to make his business a success through Palringo on MSN too!

It's fun to be connected to everywhere on the go I guess. -.-

Plus, it's fun to flood his Reaction Time highscore board with my name.
230miliseconds.
The online highscore was 5miliseconds. Human?!
He must have had a cheatcode or I highly suspect it was a housefly with lightning quick reflexes.

And the latest thing I did-
I used an Ostrich photo (from our Birdpark collection)as someone's ID contact who almost never fails to call him daily.
Imagine the shock when an Ostrich suddenly pops out.

I shall assign more animal photos on the people I know on his phone soon..
Hurhurhur.

Post Note:
I now have an iPhone to play too! So does papa!
