Leeum Samsung Museum

The whole compound consisted of 3 individually designed buildings by world renowned architects:

Modern Art Museum (Jean Nouvel), a Temporary Exhibition Center (Rem Koolhaas), and a Traditional Asian Art Museum (Mario Botta Architects) 


Jin Tae brought us around fer the whole of Wednesday, which meant we skipped Western History Architecture Class.



Lunch was sushi!



Saw the big Maman Spider there.



Saw it again at Roppongi Hills 2 months later.

CRAMMED!



Everywhere, the snow had melted saved fer this.
And someone had it imprinted with his foot prints.

While viewing the exhibition, we’re given a digital guide that picks up the artwork displayed and gives a explanation.



The sky lit spiral staircase with long rectangular perforations by Maria Botta.
(The only feature which I found interesting and libertaing apart from the dark gloomy and cram spaces in his building)

Thought Rem Koolhaas's spaces were the best, easy to navigate fer potentially lost sheeps like me. It pulls visitors through from one exhibit to another. With this said, the curator must be a genius too.
