CNY Gathering

House hopping on 9th Feb starting from having lunch starting from Candice's > Amanda's > Mine to having dinner at Regina's.

Black Jack, Poker, Texas Poker and 2 Jokers made it all the more fun.

Collecting extra angbao money from Regina's money tree certainly add to the atmosphere.
Had been eating so much and having so great fun, I'm suffering from post CNY blues now.
This year's also my fattest angbao yet. Hurhur.
Hope everyone had their bit of fun this year's Chinese New Year!

Blessed Valentine's!

Awestruck when I reached home after school!
SUNFLOWER GALORE!
Over the phone, mummy said it was big, but how big?!
I thought it'd be a normal sized one like the dozen roses my dad gave my mum!
The bouquet was so huge, it reached the display board and it's bigger than my head!
Really overjoyed!
The size doesn't matter, it's the thought that counts and seeing them beaming gleefully beside me as I type this now really made my day!

We couldn't celebrate on the actual day as Alvin has mid-term test on Total Defence Day?! (15th)
But he made it all the more special through surprises leading up Valentine's:
1. Having a sumptous Kushingbo dinner on Tuesday though he just simply refused to help me get the night's special crayfish dish. WHY!
I being stubborn, didn't bother to take it too.
2. Wednesday, he presented his specially handmade gifts...
I LOVE THIS ROSE A LOT!
Skillfully made! Beautiful!
and this display bottle too!
(poster at the back not included)
Both gifts now proudly sit at the displayboard!
3. And on the actual day..
A BIIIIIIIIIIIIG BOUQUET OF SUNFLOWERS!
The bouquet almost fell into the wrong hands as the dumb delivery man sent a wrong package and mine went to a Tan girl. Luckily mummy was alert enough to look out fer the receipient's name!
THANK YOU darLIN!

Jeon Ju, 10 Nov

To Jeon Ju!
Tagged along with the Eastern Architeture History korean students fer an excursion!

Woke up as early as 5.45am cause it's a 3 hour long ride there.

This temple here's our first stop.
The backdrop's really spectacular, ideal fer a temple, serene and peaceful, though the monks in there are not I think.
Some nut photographed them using FLASH, and an furious monk yelled the hell out of us.
Like Whatever. Meditation doesn't calm him down.

The intricately built stone furnace.
Next stop was a sprawling garden with a temple in it too!
But the scenery here's just breathtaking.

Here's Harvey buried in gold yellow leaves and Jin Tae around me!

Me lying on Sunki's stomach..
We're supposed to play the Laughing Caterpillar game.
Autumn's really beautiful as you can see..
My number ONE favourite season!
Showers of gold, red, orange, brown and yellow everywhere, simply glorious!

Drinking the water brings good luck!

Dinner time was BIBIMBAP!
Jeon Ju's famous fer its Bibimbap cause it originated here!
Still, I think the Bibimbap outside Hanyang Uni was NICER and 2x CHEAPER.
We call it the Uncle Auntie shop.
After dinner was a stroll along the streets to see the traditional Korean houses.
One of them was open fer public and we're able to play the folk games at the courtyard!

Now now, let me show you why Emily's the Pro>
Look at how she aimed fer the vessel with a spear on one hand and a watermelon ice-cream on the other!
AND SHE SCORED!

Here's outside a traditional teahouse, famous fer it's courtyard too!

Till then!

Alvin DarLIN's 23rd!
As the title suggests, it was The Mister's Special Day on the 3rd of Jan!
Eggxactly 2 months before mine!
Haha!
He thought of a nice place to celebrate his special day with me, though I should be the one racking my brains. Heh. And we planned this months before through Skype.
Sentosa so to speak.
Even though I've been there many times, mostly fer beach games dry runs and camps, I haven't been to the newly added attractions at Sentosa. I bet many of you haven't either!

Was hungry, so we ate the Potato Egg Salad with Bacon Bits (made by ME) meant fer supper before we went ahead with our day's activities. As a result, we missed the animal show!

Before that, we sat the sky-lift up to take the ride which was kinda scary as underneath were trees and more trees unlike the ride I took at the snow resort where the thought of falling onto snow aint as bad as falling into the dense vegetation.

With our helmets (they sure know how to milk tourists as these are also sold as souvenir) in tow, we're ready fer the ride!

Alvin bought a photo of us taken by the Luge Mgt.

Fer dinner, it was Gary's HK Cafe at Vivo!
OMG! I simply love it so much! Been missing it fer the past 6 months!
Followed there after was Songs of the Sea - a musical with pyrotechnics, brilliant computer imaging, water jets, lasers, and bursts of fire and fireworks to captivate you.
I thought the first part of the show was rather eew.
The storyline's even more horrid- Eg: Singing songs to save fishes and wake a lady up!
They should just omit the people and let the wonders of technology take over.

The finale was the most spectacular of all.
Didn't capture the bursts of fire though.

Last but not least, his Banana Crumble CAKE baked by The Missus!
Candles and chocolate stencil? were bought in Korea.

Fergot to bring a knife but a plastic fork sufficed. Heh.

His present; bought from online in Korea -A leather bag!
Pardon me fer the card's low quality.
Hadn't really got the time to produce a great one cause I had to unpack my stuff and bake within a day!
Anyway, I know he'd like anything I make, hurrrrrr.
Hope you had a fantastic birthday!

Meet the Foursomes!

Tis' Christmas dinner was a lil' late, 4th Jan, but it's still within the 12 days of Christmas!
Ate at a Thai restaurant cause after I ate Thai food at Thailand on New Year's, I kinda miss it. Heh.
And yes, Exchanging of presents' not to be fergotten!
I received a framed precious moments characters with a big 'E' lovingly hand-sewn from Amanda and 2 yummy cookies shaped in a heart and star from Candice.
Well, the most interesting looking one would be this..

Looked like soil filled flower pots isn't it?!
It's actually Regina's home baked Fudge Cake, part of one of her presents fer us.

Decorated with Chocolate Fudge fer dessert.
The 2 swirls by Candice and the abstract artwork by Regina.

Just so glad to meet up with them again after a loooong time!
Us gathering is always just so ebullient and merry!

Autumn
I shall continue with where I last stop.

This was school during last autumn.

It was just so beautiful..

Along the lake..
Though school (only design) was tough, things like these lovely sceneries made my day.
Actually, these were nothing compared to what I saw in Jeon Ju, and that shall be another post some other day!
Something Special..

Since this will be my very first post here at this new blog of mine (proudly done by Alvin darLIN after I rejected so many of his previous designs like more than 3 hurhur.. THANK YOU) , I'd like to kick it off to a great start by talking about the blessings that I've received.
I am speaking more about it cause I am seeing more of it coming!
You'd never see good until you see it first!
2007 was a year of New Beginnings. (started Sept 06)
There definitely were a lot of them, things that weren't trivial, things that made a significantly big impact in my life.
Things like:
Blasting 21st Birthday entering into adulthood
Learning Computer Aided Design (CAD) wols this will kick off a life long learning process
Joining Care Group
Being NUS Union Camp's director never ever dreamt heading 400. More to come AMEN!
Meeting Alvin DarLIN at ECP Macs!
Going to Korea fer SEP missing everything dearly
Serving in Praise and Worship in Saeansan Church
etc.
Never has my life been better than this and I attribute all this to God.
Own works? Luck? How can I get lucky all the time.
Luck talk's all crap and self righteousness is the mother of all sins.
2007 was simply great and 2008 will be much more abundantly blessed cause this year marks the Blessings of Deuteronomy 28!!
And it has already started! (sept 07)
Astonishing result slip & receiving design excellence award only with the favour from God
Learning to snowboard all within a day my sense of balance sucked mind you
Holidaying at Japan with Alvin DarLIN I wouldn't have dreamt of it too
The list will go on and on.
Hence, May ALL of these blessings rain hard upon everyone!
God Bless!
P.S.: I am Emily and I don't really fancy popcorns actually.
It's just some beautiful foam plucked randomly from the board or popped out from the air. It'd be the last thing I want to buy at the cinemas.
By the way, I think MacbookAir is stunning.
