Marina Barrage - 13th Jun

Picnic under the stars was fun!

Prepared the glorious wonderful food/snacks o'er at my kitchen!

Where's Candice?!
No Candice, no chawanmushi fer the night.

Trooping off to Marina Barrage's roof garden!~

Kite flying was 'exceptional'.

The crème de la crème kite surpassed all at an astonishing height of 3 storeys and basked in its short-lived glory for about 3mins.
Wow. What a mean feat. Amazing bunch aight!

Presenting the awesome Kite Flyers'!

We forced our smile whilst Candice looked the happiest as she felt her kites (she bought them) had done her proud.

It was rather dark before I remembered we still had to picnic.....
Monkeyed around before setting up the picnic sheets.

Dinner was splendid (more like overdid, Alvin last minute pangseh-ed la) - Fried chicken with Japanese's curry rice, baked cherry tomato and quail eggs wrapped in honey glazed bacon, salmon mayo sandwiches and Lays potato chips dipped potato-egg mayo.. FULL.

Fer desserts - Durian puffs, which were superdeliciouly creamy soft and light!
Aunty Regina's daddy sponsored!

Taking photos was never so fun with glow-in-the-dickssticks!

This was exactly what Aunty Regina said to the 2 lil boys who went up to us, 'These are glow-in-the-DICKS!'

I am mad serious.
-EPIC- We love it.

For additional copies of Aunty Regina's 101's combintationof*wordsandmoans tracks, come join us fer outings or e-mail me at gmail.com if you care fer a 'flu-fug*'.

Many jumping attempts for the supposedly wonderful lighting effects to be caught on camera.. and you know it's time to get a dslr.

The night's still young.
After a few rounds of 'g.i.d.d. disc throwing', we headed home fer our slumber party!

Mr Park & Mr Ho's Sg Visit! 12th Jun

Received a call from an archi junior, Melissa, one morning a week after I came back from Korea..

'Mr Park is coming to Singapore, would you be free to take him around?'

YESSS! Of course!
I planned to visit my ex-colleagues at Seoul but I hadn't had the time!
Even made a detour and brought papa to my ex-office at Anguk. Alas, the only time we had was a Sunday, so I quite dissappointed that I'd be missing a chance to say hi..

So, w-owe w-owe w-owe.
It was like God planned, Mr Park came to Singapore instead!

Moreover, amongst all colleagues, Mr Park was the closest to me as he was my direct supervisor, the vice-principal architect!
We even converesed in Chinese as he was learning the language.

2 years passed, he has been promoted to a principal architect~
Plus, he now has a Brazilian name, Ricardo, given by the client (the project which I worked on)!
And yes, 2 years on too, the project has yet to be finalised!!o.O

Now there - Met Mr Park (in blue) and Mr Ho at Vivo City
(Melissa and I gave them bakwas as souveniers)

Personally don't know Mr Ho as he only joined the team after I left.
He just seemed so aloof to the point of being unfriendly.

Who's boss, huh? Hur. Haha

Mr Park's the total opposite.
One of the ideal bosses.

Treated them to durians after lunch at Dian Xiao Er - Extremely glad Mr Park liked it!
Mr Ho didn't really like it.

At Merlion's Mouth, Sentosa.
We found out that we're actually supposed to be holding onto a photoshopped Merlion statue at the souvenier stall!

And yeap, this was the first time I met Melissa too!
Sweet girl.

(I'm sleepy.. shall end abruptly)
Just wanted to say, regrettably, I had to leave them after the Sentosa trip as I had to rush off to prepare for picnic at Marina Barrage in the evening.

2nd Anniversary - 19th May

At Wild Rocket's atop of Emily Hill!

Always drove pass the hill, but never once did I set foot on it.
In the car, my dad would tell me he used to fight with his primary schoolmates at the top of Emily's hill as his primary school was located at the bottom.
(it had been demolished since)

Now I'm finally here!
Falalalalalala~

Never imagined I'd meet one of my professors at the restaurant that evening too.

(above pic - taken from iPhone)
One of the most delicious appetiser I had so far!!
A plateful of thinly sliced smoked salmon topped with alfafa (my current favourite veg) and other garnishes!

10/10!!

Alvin had a plate of ____ fer appetiser, oops I fergot!
Hahaha..

But to wrap it up, the 3 course meal plus complimentary soup and bread was purrfect fer a guy, but a tad too much fer me cause I couldn't finish my crab linguine.

The night ended beautifully with a surprise~ A basket of sunflowers was delivered to my house while we're out fer dinner!!

Thanks fer making the night wonderful mister darling! *Muackkers!

Holy Communion

1) I had this really huge piece of Matzah bread which I randomly picked from the dish.
And this was the largest I’ve ever took thus far, hence the photo.

2) Unbeknownst to me, the next the Holy Communion items were repackaged to this!
Individually packed as a precaution due to the H1N1 Virus scare.

3) And the following week after was this - wafer!.. to present*

Eh.. Forgive me, but I do not like the tasteless wafer nor the medicine-tasting grape juice.
Complains.. tsk tsk tsk.. C’mon, I’m very sure I’m not the only one guilty of that. Hurr.

Aright, it’s HOLY COMMUNION!
The taste ain’t important, and I do not partake it blindly.
These thoughts were immediately erased once pastor leads us into prayer. Hurhur

I partake them knowing the truth, in a worthy manner - that Jesus was pierced for my sins and scourged for my healing. And that I am walking in divine health because He bore my sins, disease and pains.
I will live long, strong and healthy!

*Alvin and I had to catch a play in the evening, hence we went fer first service (service starts at 9am but we reached at 7.30am to book seats and to have breakfast at Macs'!) at Eng Wah Cinema! Yaaaa... My first at this overflow room!
The seats were sooo comfy, I was not surprised many dozed off.
NCC gave the whole church a CD each (a relevant message which Pastor had preached SARS period) and a lil' red card which contained Psalms 91 verse. =)

Embarassing Moment Part (lost count) -17th May

Scene:At city hall MRT.
Was leaning against Alvin at the escalator

请问Bukig 要搭哪里? (which side goes to Bukig?)

I nearly jumped because the old woman literally popped out of nowhere from behind!

Bukit? Timah or Merah? Anyway, whichever Bukit it was, I was also not sure cause I only know the East-West line well.

哪一个Bukit? (which Bukit?)

是在四马路案 (it's at si-ma-lu)

O, Chinese road so = chinatown la.. Hahaha.. cause in my mind i was thinking which line goes to bukit timah/merah.

哦, 牛车水.. (O, Chinatown huh?)

Then Alvin quickly went to my rescue 'Bugis!.....'

Falalalala,la-la-la-la :")
NNP

Anyway, found an anagram of Sg's MRT Line. (Click to enlarge. It aint funny at all la.)

Amanda's 23rd - 14th May

Amanda's 23rd at a German restaurant at Vivo, whose name I can't remember!
Food was great and I'd give their service thumb's up!

Dessert time at Bakerzin~
Macaroons, chocolate souffle and some other chocolate nongsense (fergot the name too! haha.. but it was lovely)!

P.S. Sakura macaroons at tasted like fwahflehblehbleargh.. medicine.
And the in season fruit - a superrrrrrr thin slice of orange fer the chocolate nongsense base, (ORANGE?! In season?!) costs a dollar more. Why?

-Actual birthday on 15th May

Much Ado About Nothing - 10th May

Waited so long fer another outdoor play since 2007.
Here it is now! Another William Shakespeare's play at Fort Canning Hill!

Along with the spanking new picnic basket I bought a few days before!

Hunted high and low fer it; from Ikea to Mohammed Sultan Road.... -.-"
All because I wanted an 'English-looking' basket.

The mister had to lug it all the way to Bugis too while the missus went shopping!Hurhurhur.

A really nice stage that comes with a pool~

Met my archi and ID friends who were there too!

The Missus prepared the food fer night sans the pumpkin cupcakes (by Jia Xin) and sashimi!

And we started gobbling up the food before the play even started.

Late nigt Starbucks drink never felt so good, with complimentary muffins to boot!

Tonight with Really Regina - Flyer

Long overdue post from 7 May 2009!

My lovable undergraduate girlfriends stumbled upon? Received an e-mail?
NUS' special student price at $10!

Being the one-year-after free-rider graduate me, then gets to enjoy the irresistable offer! Heehee.

By the way, I went to Flyer again 2 weeks ago, and the students' offer is still on! Simply flash your student card.

28-min around the wheel, just to view Singapore's skyline and Integrated Resorts-to-be.

If it wasn't today, we still wouldn't realize how lousy all our cameras' night modes were! Boo. It is time to get DSLR peeps.

This was taken by our Italian capsule mates and we managed to break the ice. A couple of them were professors at some Italian universities and Emily says that the guy in white is good-looking! (he teaches Science at the University)

As friendly Singaporeans that we are supposed to be, we took a group shot together Lumix Panasonic - the best we could take.

Say "Singapore!" everyone.

Yours Sincerely,
Really Regina
